Welcome to a new year with the Symphony League of Beaumont. The League’s Board of Directors has worked throughout the summer planning several fabulous fund raising events for the coming year, along with educational programs designed to benefit the youth of Southeast Texas. We are looking forward to an exciting Symphony season with the arrival of our new resident conductor, Chelsea Tipton, II. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Maestro Tipton.
The Symphony opens its 57th season on October 17, 2009 with Maestro Tipton’s premiere performance. Come enjoy the classical guitar of Lily Afshar on November 21st. The new year will begin with the Best of Broadway at the Symphony Pops Concert on January 23rd. The Master Series 3 concert will feature Mariangela Vacatello, finalist from the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and the Symphony Chorus will perform on April 10th.
Our League year kicks off with the Past Presidents’ Membership Tea on September 20th at the Tyrrell Park Conservatory. Join us as we introduce our 2009 Debutantes, their mothers and our Junior Escorts. Visit with old friends and make some new ones. Make plans to attend the Symphony Ball on February 7, 2010. This year’s theme is “Tango Argentina!” There are many ways that you can lend your time and talent to the Symphony League. Purchase season tickets, volunteer to help with an event, underwrite a party or purchase a table for the Symphony Ball. Join us in supporting the Symphony of Southeast Texas.
