PRESIDENT'S NOTES
What a privilege it is to have the honor of serving
as 2003-04 President of the Symphony League of Beaumont! I am truly
looking forward to working with our wonderful volunteers who have
committed their time and energy to supporting our Symphony.
The upcoming year promises to be exciting, fun-filled, and rewarding
for our League membership and our community. Our chairmen are already
hard at work---preparing membership lists, contacting volunteers,
establishing committees, planning parties, working with young people,
and securing support for all our endeavors. Please be prepared to
say “YES” when you are called!
As I prepare for the upcoming year, my goals have come together
quite easily: to continue to support our Symphony by encouraging
all league members to become season ticket holders; to broaden the
base of our Symphony League by incorporating more volunteers in
all of our programs; and to raise community awareness of our League
and all that it encompasses. I cannot stress enough how critical
all of you are to the success of our efforts. Be sure to volunteer
in the areas you wish to work, or feel free to call any member of
our board for more information about a specific area. And last,
but certainly not least, plan to attend our Symphony Ball on February
7, 2004. It promises to be the PREMIER event of the year!I am also
pleased to announce that we are “Getting Connected”
as we launch our Symphony League website! We will be up and running
soon. You can renew your membership, read our newsletter, and stay
current with all our SLB activities.
Our Membership Coffee will be held in the home of Mrs. Joseph Holland
on August 27, 2003. Plan to bring a friend who is interested in
becoming a member of our group. I am looking forward to seeing all
of you there!
